Our Story

Before AOF became Auckland's go-to source for used office furniture, Auckland businesses had few options for quality second-hand commercial furniture — and our founder spent more than a decade learning every corner of the industry to change that.. Sourcing, valuation, logistics, upcycling, corporate clearances, government contracts — all of it.

That depth of experience is what AOF was built on. When we launched, we weren't starting from scratch. We were bringing 13 years of hands-on industry knowledge into a business we could run our own way — with honesty, with care, and with a genuine understanding of what Auckland businesses actually need.

Fifteen years later, that foundation still shows in everything we do.

What Makes AOF Different

We know where good furniture comes from. We source our stock directly from corporate relocations, government department clearances, and business liquidations — including clients such as Auckland Council and Auckland Transport. That means the furniture you buy from us has been built to commercial standards and used in professional environments. It is not consumer-grade stock dressed up as something better.

We have seen it all. With over 26 years of combined industry experience, there is very little we haven't dealt with. Unusual access situations, tight timelines, partial clearances, upcycling projects, large-scale fitouts — we know how to handle complexity without making it your problem.

We are selective about what we sell. Not everything that comes through our warehouse ends up on our floor. We assess every piece before it is listed — checking condition, functionality, and value. If it doesn't meet our standard, we recycle it responsibly rather than pass a problem on to a buyer.
